I trained at the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy School (CPHT), which is considered to be the gold standard in hypnotherapy and is recognised as the Centre of Excellence for hypnotherapy/psychotherapy training. The training alone involved over 100 hours of 1 to 1 clinical sessions as well as the classroom and home study involved. The must have been a good student as CPHT invited me back after a few years as a lecturer – it is amazing to be on the other side of the classroom, a real honour to be with the new students starting on their journey.
I love the positive and often life changing impact hypnotherapy has on people, the job satisfaction of helping people is priceless.
Prior to becoming a clinical hypnotherapist I ran a successful Management Accountancy business in Edinburgh city centre, I had 13 employees so have plenty of experience with stressful situation and dealing with people. I have a young child so the pressures of family life and the challenges of finding a work life balance are no stranger to me.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is my passion in life, before I found this path I was passionate about my motorbikes and sailing, perhaps one day I can find a way to combine them all!
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
